Distant Cellars is a boutique family owned winery in Amador County, CA. We strive to produce only quality wines through limited production focusing on the varietals that grow best in our region. Currently we offer two labels consisting of a Zinfandel and red wine blend. The red wine blend is made up of a zinfandel base, with Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and Alicante Bouschet. We are not your average winery, nor do we make your average wine. We believe in maintaining the quality of our wines by limiting the production which allows for a tight control of the winemaking to be targeted and specific from harvest, through aging, and finally bottling. All of our wines are aged a minimum of 24 months with some aging as long as 36 months. This produces a quality product that blends the best of both new and old world wine making techniques for a truly unique and exceptional product.
