Ascella Pure Wine is the largest certified organic vineyard in Australia''s Hunter Valley. The vineyard grape vines are 12 years old. The vineyard has a capacity of approximately 20,000 dozen per year. Ascella produces Organically Certified Semillon, Verdelho, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Merlot, White Blend, Red Blend, a Rose and a Sparkling Rose.
Our wines have received great acclaim, and in open class, Ascella Pure Wine won 2011 Hunter Valley Wine Show medals for our Chardonnay, Verdelho and Semillon, and just recently Ascella Pure Wine took the top award in the 2011 Australia/New Zealand Organic Wine Show for our Semillon and for our Chardonnay. In addition our 2009 Semillon, which also won a silver medal in open class in the Hunter Valley Wine Show in 2009, was awarded 94 points by James Halliday.
