The “01” Wine
Svoltacarrozze produces only one wine per year from
a small vineyard of 8he in the South of Siena, just
next to Montalcino.
The IGT Red Tuscany, a blend of Sangiovese Grosso
and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%), is produced and bottled
in the Svoltacarrozze Estate.
The pliocenyc soil, just like the Brunello production,
have pebbles on the surface and undelying clay layer.
The very old production, very similar to the Brunello
way, have the same vinification (in big oak vats of 20
qt of Durmast of Slovenia), same ageing ( at least 3
Years ) and we also lay down the bottles for one more
year before start selling it.
The Name of the label correspond to the year of the
vintage so you can have a different wine every year
and really test the difference from one year to the
other, just it like should be.
