The Salgari winery is located in the historic heart of the Valpolicella valley, in an ancient rural courtyard in Negrar (near the city of Verona) and is run by the Salgari brothers: Giovanni, Luigi and Roberto.
The Valpolicella is a geographic zone famous for its red wine production. Well known is the Amarone, produced with carefully selected grapes which are then laid out and dried in the winter fresh air. Other Valpolicella wines are: Recioto, Ripasso and Valpolicella Classico.
The Salgari winery started cultivating vines almost two centuries ago, and today has 20 hectares of vineyards in some of the most prestigious zones, particularly suitable for their hillside location and for the clayey soil.
