Ten Sisters has an extraordinary story — it is named after the ten King daughters, who have one brother. The King family's ancestors were among the first settlers in southern New Zealand. Three generations of the family have worked for Ten Sisters. |
Ten Sisters has several other unique selling points. We produce about 4,000 cases of sauvignon blanc annually; some other Marlborough brands are 100 times that size. Our sauvignon blanc is sourced from a single vineyard, which gives Ten Sisters a rare purity of flavors. |
Our winemaker's style is to give our sauvignon blanc extended lees contact to create complexity, weight on the palate, and aging potential, and to bring out fruit flavors. |
Along with our sauvignon blanc, we also produce a pinot noir, which is given 10 months in French oak. |
Our vineyards are certified as sustainable too. As a family-owned brand, we focus on quality, with vines kept at appropriate yield to produce the best grapes. Leaves are plucked by hand for optimal sun exposure of the fruit. |

Ten Sisters is now available in 10 U.S. states and three countries and is served at some of the world’s finest restaurants, hotels, and venues, including the Capitol Hill Club (a club for members of the U.S. Congress). Ten Sisters was served at director George Lucas's Chicago wedding. |

A delightfully fragrant and complex bouquet with underlying citrus aromas. The palate is crisp and lively, its elegant layers hinting of tropical fruit. The finish is long and well-balanced. The sauvignon blanc is given extended lees contact to create complexity, weight on the palate, and aging potential, and to bring out fruit flavors. Our winemaker’s style reflects his training in Sancerre and makes Ten Sisters unique, yet still typical of Marlborough. |

Rich with cherry, plum, and dark berry flavors.
Exquisitely structured and balanced, with smooth and light tannins. The fruit is picked, sorted, and plunged by hand. The wine is given 10 months in French oak barrels of one to four years of age. Our pinot noir is made in a food-friendly Old World–style. |
